Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal information Seven Oak Labs ("we", "us") handles, why, and the choices you have.
Seven Oak Labs makes quote pages for title companies in Texas. Each page carries a title company's name and logo and lets real estate agents and others estimate title insurance premiums and closing costs.

Our business address is in the Netherlands, and we handle personal information in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), wherever you live.
If you use a quote page
- We do not ask for your name or contact details.
- The figures you type stay in your browser. They are kept in the part of the page address after the "#" sign, which browsers do not send to our servers. We never receive or store them.
- PDFs are made in your browser. Nothing is sent to us when you create one.
- If you share a quote link, the figures travel inside that link to whoever you send it to.
- Technical information. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes your IP address, browser type, the page you open (without your figures) and the time, to deliver the page and protect the site from abuse. We do not use this to identify you.
- No cookies, analytics or tracking. Our site sets no cookies, and we do not use analytics tools or tracking pixels.
Before we add any feature that collects more, such as saving quotes under your name, we will update this policy.
If we emailed you about our quote pages
We email owners and managers of Texas title companies about our product.
- What we hold: your name, job title, work email, work phone and company, the web address where we found them and the date, your replies, and whether you asked us to stop.
- Where it comes from: your company's own website, or public data from the Texas Department of Insurance. We do not buy contact lists or guess email addresses.
- Why, and on what legal basis: to offer our product to businesses it is built for. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in offering it, limited to business contact details your company publishes itself.
- Your right to object: reply "no thanks", or anything that says no, and we stop emailing you at once. You never have to give a reason.
- How long we keep it: until you ask us to stop, or 12 months after our last contact, whichever comes first. If you ask us to stop, we keep only your email address on a do-not-contact list, so we never email you again.
If your title company uses our quote pages
We hold your company's name, logo, office details, fee schedules, the names and work contact details of the staff who work with us, our emails with you, and invoices. We use them to provide the service under our agreement with your company, and keep them while your company is a customer. When it stops, we delete them within 60 days, except invoices and records the law requires us to keep.
If you email us
We keep your message and our reply to answer you and to keep a record of our business correspondence.
Who we share it with
- Service providers that help us run the business: Cloudflare (website hosting) and Zoho (email). They may use the information only to provide their services to us.
- When the law requires it, or to protect the rights, safety or security of others or ourselves.
- If our business is sold or merged, in which case this policy continues to apply.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for advertising or profiling.
Transfers outside the EU
Cloudflare processes data in the United States and elsewhere. For the United States we rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, under which Cloudflare is certified, and on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses in Cloudflare's data processing terms. Our email is held in Zoho's data centre in India. India does not have an EU adequacy decision, so we rely on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses in Zoho's data processing agreement. You can ask us for a copy of these safeguards.
Your rights
You may ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and to correct it, delete it, restrict its use, or receive it in a portable format. You may object to our use of it at any time, and we stop all marketing emails at once. Email tanvir@sevenoaklabs.com or write to the address above. We reply within one month.
You may also complain to a data protection authority. In the Netherlands that is the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl). If you live in a US state with a privacy law, you may also contact your state attorney general.
We do not make decisions about you by automated means.
Security
We use encrypted connections, limit who can access information, and keep each title company's information separate. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your information, we will tell you and the authorities as the law requires.
Children
Our quote pages are a business tool and are not meant for children under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. We will email our customers about major changes.
